It all began in the vibrant streets of New York City, where Jack Torres, a cutting specialist, learned his craft and honed his skills amidst the energy and innovation of one of the world’s fashion capitals. From the moment Jack picked up his shears, he was determined to master the art of cutting, creating shapes and styles that were as dynamic as the city around him. His journey in New York wasn’t just about cutting hair—it was about perfecting the craft, setting new standards, and pushing boundaries.
Years later, Jack brought that same bold, visionary spirit to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he helped build and mentor some of the strongest stylists in the industry. Education became the cornerstone of Jack’s philosophy, and through his mentorship, many have gone on to achieve remarkable careers of their own. His teachings are not just about technique, but about cultivating a passion for the craft, a respect for the artistry, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Following Jack’s passing, his legacy continued through the dedication of his wife, Donna, and daughter, Isabella. Together, they embraced the responsibility of carrying forward what he had built, honoring his vision while creating a new chapter for ETCH Salon.
Donna played an instrumental role in preserving the heart of ETCH. Through her unwavering dedication, she helped sustain the business, its culture, and the values Jack had instilled from the beginning. Her commitment ensured that the essence of ETCH remained intact, providing a strong foundation for its continued growth.
Alongside her, Isabella brought a fresh perspective and a forward-thinking vision for the salon’s future. Together, they have continued to evolve ETCH, blending its rich history with a renewed focus on creativity, education, individuality, and an elevated guest experience.
